Crickett's Answer for Cancer News
Crickett's Answer for Cancer
would like to thank Mary Kay consultant and CAC volunteer, Barb Murphy, for hosting an online fundraiser in November to benefit
CAC! ********************************************************************* Crickett's Answer for Cancer held its first ever
Breast Cancer Bailout event during the second half of October. Warrants were issued for the arrest of several suspects,
who helped us raise more than $4000 to benefit women with breast cancer! Thanks so very much to our suspects for their
time and energy in making this a wonderful success! *********************************************************************
Crickett's Answer for Cancer
would like to thank Silpada consultant, Mindy Smith, for hosting our Pretty and Pink Open House fundraiser during Breast
Cancer Awareness Month. It was fun connecting women with gorgeous jewelry to benefit CAC! *********************************************************************
Crickett's Answer for Cancer
held its first Wine Tasting event at the beautiful Moon Dancer Winery on September 17. Guests sampled the delicious
wines, enjoyed live music, and bid on fabulous items at our silent auction. Lots of great feedback from guests means
we hope to be back at Moon Dancer in the spring!

Our Second Annual Golf Tournament was held at Royal Manchester Golf Links in Mount Wolf in May. Despite
the threat of intense thunderstorms, the weather held out beautifully until the last hole or two and participants enjoyed
a great day of golf! Many thanks to Scott Bennet at Royal Manchester for his expertise in coordinating our
event!
A special thank you to our Golf Committee (Todd Eckert, Amy Fry, Ted LeGore, Larry Murphy, and Roger Paucek)
and our team of regular volunteers (Terry Baker, Heather Bupp, Lauren Clemens, Cindy Conley, Billa Jamison, Drena and Greg
Kinghorn, Tanya Pakula, Missy Sterner, Denise Williams, and Barb Witter) whose dedication and commitment are second to none!

smiling down on us that night!

Unfortunately, the State of Pennsylvania no longer permits Quarter Auctions, so we had to say goodbye to
this popular and successful fundraiser scheduled for March 19! We really hope that our state and local legislators will
recognize the valuable role that these fundraisers can play for nonprofits, and will reverse their ruling.

Crickett's Answer for Cancer is thrilled to announce its new partnership with LympheDIVAS!
Thanks to a donation of $13,000+ of lymphedema compression garments, we can now provide beautiful lymphedema sleeves and gauntlets
to women with breast cancer all across the United States! It is a phenomenal feeling to be able to provide such medically
essential garments to women without either insurance or personal funds to cover the cost themselves.
Words cannot adequately express our thanks to Josh Levin, the Vice President at LympheDIVAS, and his family for their
generous donation in the name of their sister and daughter, Rachel Troxell. Rachel and a friend started the company during
their own breast cancer journeys, and Rachel's vision lives on even since her passing. Please visit the www.LympheDIVAS.com website to learn more.

Crickett's Answer for Cancer and Carole Trone were selected from hundreds of entries as First
Award Recipients in the Robin Hood Lionhearts promotion. Universal Studios announced in April that this program
is "a cause-based initiative designed to reward those who dedicate their time to change the world... the heroes
who inspire us by making selfless contributions to their communities. In support of Universal's upcoming epic action-adventure
Robin Hood, starring Oscar winner Russell Crowe, the initiative will embody the legendary Robin Hood message in a modern way—through peer sharing
and social networking. The program gives Lionhearts - people who make a positive impact in society via their participation
in a cause or charity - the opportunity to share their stories of philanthropy and garner votes of support from friends, family
and colleagues.
CAC will use its award proceeds to fund a marketing campaign to identify new clients in need of
our services in South Central PA. Many thanks to all of you who voted for CAC in the Lionhearts promotion!

Crickett's
Answer for Cancer participated in the Fourth Annual PINK in the Park
charity walk, hosted by P.I.N.K. on May 8, 2010 at
John Rudy Park in Crickett's hometown of York, PA. It was a pleasure meeting so many inspiring breast cancer
survivors, supporters, and treatment providers! We were able to spread the word about the products and services we offer
women with breast cancer.

in the Park for the third year in a row. This annual breast cancer awareness fundraising walk benefits P.I.N.K. (Power in

spring bus trip to Longwood Gardens was well worth the drive... glorious weather and absolutely beautiful flowers and
plants!

Our Fourth Annual Crickettinis for a Cure Party was
again held at the OffCenter Grill of The Hotel Yorktowne. Many thanks to Rick Cunningham and the OffCenter Grill
staff for hosting a fabulous event, and for their generous donations of dinner proceeds and silent auction items! Our
gratitude goes out as well to DJ Matt Cleveland for providing the music for the evening. Crickett was certainly
smiling down on us that night!

The weather couldn't have been more glorious for Crickett's Answer for Cancer's SpaFest on October
9 at The Hair Studio! This amazing event was quite an undertaking by The Hair Studio's owner, Deb Mohle, and her
wonderful staff and hardworking volunteers.
Guests chose three mini spa services from a list of options
and were whisked away for some pampering and beautification, all while enjoying wine and scrumptious goodies. The salon
and its grounds were transformed into a beautiful canvas for the following artisans who displayed their creative handiwork
and the other vendors who showcased their wares and donated raffle items and door prizes:
The

Many thanks also to Marie Black and
